Senator Dave Hastings is currently serving his second term in the State Senate, where he represents District 13, which includes parts of Cumberland and Oxford Counties. He is the lead Senate Republican on the Joint Standing Committee on the Judiciary for the 123 rd Legislature, a role he also filled during the 122nd Legislature, when he was also a member of the Task Force to Study Maine’s Homeland Security Needs.

A lifelong resident of Fryeburg, the Senator served for over 20 years as Director, and then Chairman, of the Eastern Slope Airport Authority. He served eight years as Director of the MSAD 72 School Board, has been a trustee of Fryeburg Academy since 1995, and has been involved in the management of the Fryeburg Fair for 30 years.
