Richard Rosen Begins Second Term in State Senate

On Wednesday, December 6, the 123rd Legislature officially began, when Governor John Baldacci swore all Maine State Senators and Representatives into office.  Among those who assumed office that day was Republican Senator Richard Rosen.

 

Representing District #31, Rosen, of Bucksport, Bradley, Brewer, Burlington, Clifton, Grand Falls Twp., Greenfield, Summit Twp. 1 ND, Eddington, Holden, Lowell, Milford and Orrington in Penobscot County, and Amherst, Aurora, Bucksport, Castine, Dedham, Mariaville, T32 MD, Orland, Otis, Penobscot and Verona Island in Hancock County.

 

Senator Rosen was also elected to serve as Assistant Republican Leader in the Senate, and will play a large role in crafting and delivering the messages of the Senate Republican Caucus.  With 17 seats, Republicans are poised to work alongside the Democrats to advance a bipartisan agenda for the State of Maine. 

 

“I am truly honored that the people of District #31 have re-elected me to represent them in the Senate,” Rosen said.  “I look forward to continue working for my constituents, and encourage them to come to me with any questions or concerns they may have.  The opportunity to represent my constituents, and work for the positive changes that our state needs, is one I will never take for granted.”
