Dana Dow Begins Second Term in State
Senate

On Wednesday, December 6, the 123rd Legislature officially began, when Governor John Baldacci swore all Maine State Senators and Representatives into office. Among those who assumed office that day was Republican Senator Dana Dow.
Representing District #20, Dow, of Waldoboro, serves the
people of Alna, Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor, Bremen,
Bristol, Damariscotta, Edgecomb, Hibberts
Gore, Jefferson, Monhegan Island Plantation,
Newcastle, Nobleboro, Somerville, South Bristol,
Southport, Waldoboro, Westport Island, Whitefield and Wiscasset in Lincoln
County, Friendship and Washington in Knox County, and Windsor in Kennebec
County.
Dow, beginning his second term in the State Senate, defeated
Democrat challenger Kathleen King on Election Day. His victory helped the Republicans increase
their margin in the Senate. With 17
seats, Republicans are poised to work alongside the Democrats to advance a
truly bipartisan agenda for the State of
